AllMusic Review by

The Canadian bandleader Guy Lombardo and his orchestra became a byword for high-quality dance music between the late 1920s and early '50s, working for most of this time in New York. Dating from around the mid-'50s, this set gathers many of the band's most notable Broadway-oriented numbers, featuring such popular show tunes as MY FAIR LADY's "I Could Have Danced All Night," THE KING AND I's "Hello Young Lovers," and "Hey There," from THE PAJAMA GAME. It also includes the song that became something of his signature, "Auld Lang Syne," and his version of the haunting theme to the movie THE THIRD MAN.
