Madacy's British Rock series showcases some of the better known classics of the British Invasion performed by the original artists. Though some of the more popular artists such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and the Yardbirds are sorely missing, there are quite a few of the second tier British Invasion bands here such as Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Troggs, the Tremeloes, and Chad & Jeremy. Highlights of this particular volume include Wayne Fontana's "A Groovy Kind of Love" and the Tremeloes' "Here Comes My Baby." While these British Rock albums no doubt provide a broad range of acts and some of their more well-known hits, you can't help but wish some of the bigger bands were here and that there were more songs included on the short-running CDs.
