The three main tracks "Jog," "Madhuwanti" and "Khamaj Thumri" identify this release as another incarnation of an earlier cassette release (STCS 02B 6279) hastily relaunched to capitalize on Bhatt's Grammy win. The music is fine, even if the presence of the final track, a dhun (folk-styled melody) set in "Mishra Bhairavi," compromises the album's artistic unity. Accompanying Bhatt on this one track are Daya Shankar on shehnai, Tarun Bhattacharya on santoor and Kumar Bose on tabla. The track appears to be an afterthought, a suspicion fed by that herald of free enterprise, the ‘Grammy Award Winning Artiste' legend emblazoned on the sleeve. Reinforcing this is the fact that in 1993 the label put out a double-cassette album of the threesome called Instrumental Trio (STCS 850318/9) containing a version of "Mishra Bhairavi."
