This EP is primarily a showcase for the title cut, this version of which appeared on Robyn Hitchcock's live platter Gotta Let This Hen Out!; the song is fast, stark, and driving, with a modest 1960s-style tunefulness. "Only the Stones Remain" is a Soft Boys rarity that receives a funky, boisterous live performance, here prominently featuring raspy, bopping synthesizer textures. Side two presents a capable, if unessential psychedelic-style instrumental that can best be characterized as atmospheric, improvisatory, experimental, and decidedly non-melodic. As the first two songs are available on other Hitchcock releases, this platter will be of interest only to diehard completists.
