In October 1956, the Andrews Sisters re-recorded their biggest hits of the 1930s and '40s for the Capitol Records album The Andrews Sisters in Hi-Fi, released in February 1957. This budget album reissues nine of those tracks with arrangements that have been updated somewhat to 1950s styles. The sound is clean, and the sisters, with thousands of performances of these songs under their belts, are exact in their vocals. Of course, these aren't the original hit versions of the songs, and the packaging does not alert the potential customer to that fact.
