Boogie Nights: The Best of Disco, is a skimpy and misleadingly titled compilation from the Laserlight label. In various spots on the packaging you can gather that the disc features the original artists with songs that were -- somewhat tellingly -- recorded between 1976 and 2001. Some of the tracks here are the original versions, as you might have heard them at clubs or on the radio, while most are not. The re-recordings are, in every case, very inferior to the originals. It's an apparent ploy to dupe the consumer, and even if the disc did contain all the original versions, it would still be fairly cheap. There are only ten songs, most of which can be found in dozens -- and, in some cases, hundreds -- of other places.
