This odd little set of early John Lee Hooker recordings has been issued with the same set list several times under different titles. All of these sides were issued as singles by Los Angeles-based Modern Records between 1953 and 1955, and each was recorded in Detroit, MI, often with Eddie Kirkland on lead guitar and Bob Thurman on piano.
