AllMusic Review by

Rough around the edges, this set, caught live (and lively) at the 1971 Montreux Jazz Festival, teams Texas-born sax great King Curtis with the irrepressible Dupree. Curtis's young band copes reasonably well with Dupree's unpredictable sense of time, and despite their age differences, everyone has a good time. Only three months later, Curtis would tragically be stabbed to death on his New York doorstep.
