AllMusic Review by

The Simitar label's ultra-generic looking Blue Eyed Soul compilation, despite its budget leanings is about as eclectic and solid as a ten-song set can be. By taking the best of "classic rock" radio like "Rich Girl" (Hall & Oates), "Midnight Rider" (Gregg Allman) and "Must of Got Lost" (J. Geils Band) and mixing in a few choice oldies such as "The Letter" (Box Tops), the "Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)" (Walker Brothers) and "Expressway to Your Heart" (Soul Survivors), the compilers have constructed the perfect companion for the ride (or walk) home from work, that is if you skip "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen.
