The Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology put out a series of bird song CDs, each designed to complement one of the well-known regional field guides compiled by eminent ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson. Each CD is an exhaustive resource of recorded bird song, complete with spoken introductions identifying each bird before the examples are played. All of the CDs in the series are designed to work with both AviSys Song and Bird Song Master educational home computer programs and come with an informative booklet detailing where each bird can be found. This installment of the series collects the songs and calls of over 250 species and is intended to accompany both A Field Guide to the Birds East of the Rockies and Field Guide to the Birds of Eastern and Central North America, Fifth Edition.
