AllMusic Review by

This album, spun from the runaway success of the Big Chill organization, whose festivals have enchanted thousands of downtempo devotees since 1994, consists of a double-disc effort where owner Pete Lawrence echoes his 2002 events with a track listing which sets Blue States, Tom Middleton, Grantby, and Pork's Momma Gravy adrift in an ambient ocean populated by lesser-known champions of chill. Golden moments take the ethereal form of "Fairy of the Lake" from Hungarian ├╝ber-kind Yonderboi, the stunning Fontella Bass vocal which soars above "All That You Give" from J Swinscoe's Cinematic Orchestra, and Future Sound of London's glorious mix of Robert Miles' "Paths." Although perhaps not quite as distinguished as the previous near-perfect Glisten outing, Lawrence's compilations are distinctively different from the swathe of albums available and never fail to capture the spirit of his legendary events.
