Despite the title, this compilation of Oscar Peterson performances is all recorded with his famous trio. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but this music is taken from his earliest records and the presentation and notes are scant (not too mention that they are in Japanese). There are many domestic sets with a far better selection of cuts with great sound that sell for a lot less money. Still, if you are either a completist, are dead set on owning Japanese pressings of CDs, or have an unlimited budget, you might consider this for the eclectic track selection alone.
