AllMusic Review by

The second volume in V2's Alessi Bertallot series is a bit more adventurous than the first, but retains its predecessor's reliance on laid- back, open-grooved tracks, with precious few that break that vibe. Bertallot is an Italian DJ who plays clubs and has a radio program; he's well-known as a vibe maker. Certainly this set featuring 28 tracks over two CDs is that, with Bertallot rounding the edges of cuts by Tim Hutton , Spearhead, Beth Gibbons, Koop, Nuspirit Helsinki, Peven Everett, Cinematic Orchestra, Underworld, Patricia Barber, G. Lemnitz, Recloose, Ian Pooley, and many others, melding genre to feel throughout. Like the previous volume, this is fine music to play while guests are getting acquainted, or very late, when all of the undesirables have gone home or to the next bacchanal . Jazzy electro, house, nu-soul, funk, reggae, and ambient are allowed a spacious airing on this set.
