The German Stereo Deluxe label brings out a third edition of its impressive Bassic Instinct series. Featuring more downtempo grooves, jazzy beats, and some trip-hop touches, the mix includes both new and old cuts, many of which are unreleased tracks or rare album and single sides. The Euro-club mood is especially well essayed on Moodorama's "Viama" and Boozoo Bajou's album closer, "Lava." So, if a fine and funky modern mix is what you're searching for -- plus some Latin flair and acid house asides -- Bassic Instinct, Vol. 3 should keep your dancefloor guests in the pink most of the night.
