This particular edition of CEMA Special Markets' Back to Back Hits contains five hits apiece from the Kingston Trio and the Highwaymen, two of the movers and shakers of the folk revival of the late '50s/early '60s. A compilation of this nature simply can't be definitive, but this is very good for what it is, since four of the five featured songs for the Kingston Trio were ("Tom Dooley," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," "M.T.A.," "A Worried Man") and the fifth choice is an interesting album cut, while the featured Highwaymen songs -- "Michael (Row the Boat Ashore)," "Cotton Fields," "I'm on My Way," "The Bird Man" -- were all five of their charting singles. As a result, it's worthwhile for budget-minded casual fans of either artist.
