Baby's First Classics: Classical Treasures features classical pieces that suit a variety of settings and moods, from playful to restful, for babies and young children. The album has a more focused approach than many classics-for-babies collections do; it features excerpts from Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Debussy's Children's Corner, and Bach's Orchestral Suite, No. 1 in C Major, along with smaller pieces like Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata: Adagio Sostenuto, and Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice. This collection is lower on lullabies than many other baby-oriented classical music collections, but it's still a fine album that should appeal to babies and their parents alike.
