AllMusic Review by

Recorded live a few years before avant-garde composer Arnold Dreyblatt left America for Germany, this lengthy single work reflects the artist's interest in string timbre and sonorities, which are progressively revealed in a series of percussively punctuated drones. Using widely varied adapted and found instrumentation, including a children's piano played like a cimbalom and an acoustic guitar fitted with snares, Dreyblatt produces complex, hypnotic orchestral effects.
