AllMusic Review by

This superior LP from the Australian Swaggie label features pianist Armand Hug on a set of unaccompanied solos. Mixed together are three originals (including one called "Four Minute Slow Drag At the Fern"), New Orleans-based obscurities and a few standards (such as "Baby Won't You Please Come Home" and "Someday You'll Be Sorry"). Hug had a distinctive and swinging style of his own that was influenced by Jelly Roll Morton. He is in top form during the highly enjoyable album.
