This live album in two volumes by Djavan has, on the second volume, some of his biggest hits, like the pop ballads "Pétala," "Meu Bem-querer," and "Um Amor Puro"; the stylized reggae "Cigano"; the funk songs "Boa Noite" and "Eu Te Devoro"; the doleful song "Faltando Um Pedaço"; the pop/rock rendition for "Lilás"; and the soul "Acelerou." His exciting samba "Fato consumado" deserves special mention, interpreted at the violão, with a gafieira trombone (François Lima) joining him in the end, as do the classic baião introduction of "Faltando Um Pedaço"; the samba-canção "Álibi," recorded with enormous success by Maria Bethânia; the quasi-blues "Esquinas" and the happy "Se...."
An extremely competent Brazilian composer/performer, he adhered to the pop idiom, and his albums since the '80s have been dealing with a mix of Brazilian and pop grooves. The two albums sold one to two million copies, yielding his first Diamond Record. He was also awarded with three Multishow prizes: Best CD, Best Show, and Best Singer (popular election by vote of the cable channel spectators).
