The dramatic pop of Leonardo is like a blend of Meatloaf and Ricki Martin. He has the former's delivery and penchant for having his songs change pace a bunch of times combined with the latter's fluffy Latin-meets-Madonna production techniques. The album itself is a big, theatrical hodgepodge that attempts to cram too many ideas into two CDs. Many of the songs are simply too short, making the two-CD format seem more than a little ridiculous when the first disc has eight songs that barely hover around two minutes in length. It isn't that this is bad music, but between the dramatic flourishes and the short songs, this does feel like a rip-off. Fans may enjoy this, but most others will probably react quite adversely to the whole affair.
