AllMusic Review by

This two-CD live set is the first for Paulo Flores. For his followers who have never seen and heard him live, it's a long-awaited pleasure. Many of his outstanding tracks from his albums are here, plus there are previously unreleased jewels and a cover of "Falso Testemundo." In some cases, the studio takes are superior. In others, it's just the opposite, as in the case of "Clarice," where he breaks into a very steamy montuno at the end of the track. He has a host of crack musicians backing him. Among the huge ensemble of special guests are Tito Paris and Carlos Burity. The horns are wickedly tight and saucy and the hands-on percussion explodes all over theater. The vocals are very sturdy and overall the sound reproduction is phenomenal. In response, the crowd participation is as much a part of the recording as the musicians. Their joy is palpable and very audible. The maestro is not a studio-only musician. He can take it live without any drum machines. It's a pleasure to hear him stretch out live on some of the previous studio tracks. This is one to get if you've never had the opportunity to catch him live. Highly recommended.
