Time Life's Another Lost Decade: The '80s: At the Movies is a fun collection of 14 tracks that served as movie theme songs or songs that were integral to the soundtracks. The songs and films are pretty varied, ranging from the sleek Blondie hit "Call Me" from American Gigolo to the smooth-as-margarine Christopher Cross' "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" from Arthur, from Harold Faltermeyer's machine-driven "Axel F." from Beverly Hills Cop to the Bangles' rocking take on Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter" from Less Than Zero. Of the bunch, only Wang Chung's "Hypnotize Me" from Innerspace wasn't a big hit -- the rest are some of the biggest hits of the decade. While the collection may not be the most musically coherent listening experience, as a nostalgic exercise it wins high marks.
