This two-CD collection features engaging keyboard and synth music written specifically to accompany hatha yoga. The first disc, A.M. YOGA MELODIES, inspires a calm wakefulness after a night of sleep. The uncluttered and fluid tunes gently open the body and lightly stimulate the nervous system without coming on too strong.
The second disc, P.M.YOGA MELODIES, contains slightly more complex musical ideas, voiced by tablas, sitars, and Brian Scott Bennett's keyboards. The subtle and shifting melodies keep the mind occupied as the body begins to wind down. Singer Jennifer Warnes appears on both discs, providing wordless vocal improvisations that perfectly complement the music.
