All-Time Greatest Hits is culled from George Jones' United Artists recordings. During these years, he had two of his definitive hits -- "She Thinks I Still Care" and "The Race Is On" -- but it was largely a transition period for Jones, as this entertaining but scattershot collection shows. Not all of his hits from his UA recordings are included -- particularly the number three "A Girl I Used to Know" and the number five "You Comb Her Hair," which are indeed featured on Rhino's The Best of 1955-1967 -- and several of the songs here weren't hits and don't deserve to be included, particularly his version of "Running Bear." Still, the album gives a good sense of his time at the label and contains the great majority of his hits of the early '60s.
