AllMusic Review by

This double CD brings back two LPs' worth of material recorded in the late '60s and celebrating Irving Berlin's work of 1921-1933. Most of the 41 selections feature Annette Sanders, Steve Clayton, and/or the Jack Manno Singers on vocals. The singing is OK but not definitive or all that distinctive and, although the songs are great (whether they be standards or obscurities), no one is going to remember them from the Sanders or Clayton versions. Best are four instrumentals featuring trumpeter Rusty Dedrick heading an octet also including trombonist Lou McGarity and clarinetist Bob Wilber, but that is not enough of a reason to acquire this well-intentioned two-fer.
