The 13th studio album from these Basque pop/rock veterans was conceived as a sort of theatrical performance, bound to achieve its true form during the band's planned tour of some of Spain's most emblematic theaters. Al Amanecer Seguir Soñando is actually a CD plus book, in which songs are part of a grander narrative, and its literary and visual aspects are reinforced by the inclusion of texts and images by well-known Basque writers and artists. Musically, it is a significantly toned-down affair from their more radical beginnings, as it features mostly lush cabaret ballads, complete with piano, saxophone, and other wind instruments, serving as a backdrop to charismatic leader Francis' musings on sex, dreams, and desire.
