This is one of those rare EP to where one can tell that the band is having a blast in the recording studio. Jawbox, for example, scraps their normal complex, bass-driven Dischord trademark and rocks out with their own version of "Airwaves Dream." Then there's Jawbreaker, which cranks out not one, not two, but three different covers within three minutes. As they start out with U2's "With or Without You," the Misfits classic "Skulls" is somehow snuck in. And before anyone can comprehend that they're not playing a U2 song, Jawbreaker ends with a medley of "Turning Japanese" just as if it sounds like the song is about to fall apart. Two classic throwaway tracks from the very unreliable Selfless Records who managed to keep all of their records out of print before going out of business.
