Kate MacKenzie's solo debut album Age of Innocence is a shining demonstration of her talents. MacKenzie is able to push bluegrass music into new directions without diluting its purity. The key to the success of Age of Innocence is how MacKenzie delivers folk and country as gracefully as bluegrass. There's depth and beauty to this music but most of all there's a gentle, subtle charm which makes it a rewarding musical experience.
