Stony Deville's angry rhymes on Ackin' Badd communicate plenty of attitude, though the lack of evident talent here makes this a forgettable album. Sure, he does possess some solid rapping skills; it's just unfortunate that he can't offer anything exciting besides cliché-ridden gangsta posing. Essentially, this is B-grade DMX, with Deville acting hard overtop weak beats and without the dramatic skills of the aforementioned superstar rapper. Alongside Texas peers, such as Lil Keke, this album holds up, but that still doesn't justify its lackluster value as an album.
