AllMusic Review by

A straightforward reissue of the earlier three-volume Anthology collection, again available both as a box set, or across three separate volumes, Acid Daze is symptomatic of the sheer mindlessness with which great swathes of the Hawkwind back catalog have been treated.

Although a sense of chronology is maintained across the three discs (working backwards, from the early '80s to 1970), the only consistent factor governing this collection is that purchasing it means you never have to look at any one of several dozen single-disc, budget compilations again, all of which are drawn from the same stockpile of outtakes, live cuts, and throwaways, and none of which offer any more annotation or track detail than this set. These include British Tribal Music, The Castle Masters Collection, The Collection and The Best and the Rest Of -- and that's only the tip of the iceberg. You have been warned.
