AllMusic Review by

A mammoth box of disco -- three hours and 45 minutes of music -- and while it might not be the absolute best, it may be the most extensive compilation available. None of these songs scaled very high on the pop chart, but most are dead-on dancing grooves that will boost your party a couple of notches. The most familiar tracks are the Main Ingredient's "Happiness Is Just Around the Bend," Frankie Smith's only hit "Double Dutch Bus," Jocelyn Brown's disco turnaround of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," and Dynasty's "I Don't Want to Be a Freak," which got good exposure on the Soul Train television show. The collection also features two songs by Sylvester among the 33 tracks, and some good movers by the likes of Hamilton Bohannon (two songs), D Train, Positive Force, La Rita Gaskins, and Pam Todd & Love Exchange.
