AllMusic Review by

Absolute Modern Worship follows the premise of its 2004 predecessor, Absolute Worship, repackaging a large quantity of tracks by lesser-known artists in hopes of finding value in the eyes of avid CCM collectors. Without the draw of a Matt Redman, Jars of Clay, or Casting Crowns to draw in buyers, the two-disc collection relies on the likes of Chris Rice and By the Tree. Smaller labels like Fervent, Curb, Rocketown, and INO contribute tracks by artists and the result is, for the most part, a steady string of B-sides. Few if any tracks are complete misses, but there is a definite lack of hits. That would be the main difference between this and the ever-popular series of WOW Hits, which works like a Dove Awards ballot. Bright spots on Absolute include Sara Groves' "Jesus You're Beautiful," Skillet's "How Deep the Father's Love for Us," and Broken Frame's "I Am Ready."
