Taking its cue from the untimely death of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in April of 2002, this tribute features 12 of the pop/soul trio's most memorable songs, performed by a studio creation known as the International Girls of R&B. The strong melodies of "Creep," "Unpretty," and "No Scrubs" help the songs overcome some weak vocal performances, but the more demanding "Waterfalls" doesn't fare very well. The instrumentation stays strong throughout the album, though, replicating the sound of TLC's originals with aplomb. This album won't blow any minds, but it is a worthy tribute to Left Eye and the music she made with Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins" and Rozonda "Chili" Thomas as TLC.
