This tribute to San Diego's P.O.D. is all bark and no bite. While the gang of studio types and unknown up-and-comers assembled here are adept at matching the overdriven sonics, deep bottom end, and rap-metal dynamics of the born-again rockers, they're no match for P.O.D.'s seemingly endless font of energy and passion. Nevertheless, the Renagadez of Funk give "Boom" and "Tribal Warriors" their best shot, and Social Nation hits most of its marks in a driving take on "Alive," even if the singer can't hit Sonny's notes in the chorus.
