This 2004 release from Big Eye features a group of studio musicians covering the music of Ashlee Simpson. The hired guns redo 11 of the 12 songs on Autobiography, Simpson's debut LP, running through hits like "Pieces of Me" and "Lala," as well as tracks like "Love Makes the World Go Round" and "Surrender." The versions here are pretty similar to Ashlee's -- though the woman singing is probably older than her (and likely a better vocalist), she mimics Simpson's vocal style as well as the music does with its replicating job. Simpson fanatics are probably the only ones interested in this; Big Eye has yet to issue a tribute to Ashlee's sister, Jessica.
