A Soulful Christmas collects a vintage Miracles Christmas album, also released on BCI's Christmas with the Miracles and misleadingly packaged to resemble a reissue from the group's early-'60s prime (complete with "Hi-Fidelity Sound" stamp). These are tracks either from the '80s or '90s, all sweet-falsetto soul in the Motown tradition, obviously minus Smokey Robinson. The production is pure syrup, and the performances are a bit quavery. Altogether, a seriously bad holiday album.
