This Sequel compilation reissues a pair of 1970-1971 LPs from the soul trio behind "Love on a Two-Way Street." Though the group hit the R&B charts consistently during the early '70s, their full-lengths were patchy agglomerations of soundalikes, filler, and unsuccesful experiments -- usually recorded very poorly. A Moment With the Moments/The Other Side of the Moments is no different; though the first one includes the hits "If I Didn't Care" and "Love on a Two-Way Street," there just isn't much else of interest. The second LP, The Other Side of the Moments, is a swinging supper-club outing that never rises above the cloying arrangements and a strangely updated (now outdated) sound. Stick with the compilations.
