Guitarist Habichuela, born into a well-known flamenco clan in 1944, wears two hats. Under one, he is an eminent traditionally oriented guitarist. Under the other, he has recorded with Don Cherry and with North African musicians. Several tracks on this album are traditional: on others he works with electric bass, percussion, and even lute. Either way, he's dazzling.
