The Parkinsons' sweaty garage rockin' is the same old song but it's definitely a good song, one you want to keep listening to again and again. "Awww baby it's a long way to nowhere," they shout out on "Primitive," and the good rockin' fun continues with "Too Many Shut Ups," "Universe," and throughout A Long Way to Nowhere. All seven songs jump from one good party to the next. The guitars growl, the drums crash, and the vocals burn. What more could you ask for? P.S.: A rollicking live track, "Bad Girl," is hidden at the end (these guys are notorious for performing in the nude). Oh yeah, and A Long Way to Nowhere was co-produced by Jim Reid of the Jesus & Mary Chain, a man very familiar with creating a great raw sound. So put on your sneakers, grab your wallet, and get out and get this -- it's satisfaction guaranteed.
