Welcome to the bottom of the Krautrock barrel. A recording of aimless rehearsals for a concert in Dusseldorf on May 6, 1972, that has all the audio fidelity of a malfunctioning Dictaphone, 72 Live! can barely even be labeled "for completists only," because even completists might balk at the sound quality. The three lengthy untitled tracks, one of them just under 40 minutes long, meander to little audible purpose and have none of the tension and dynamics of the duo's best work. There's some worthwhile material on the other excavations by the Japanese label Captain Trip, but this is a waste of time and money.
