AllMusic Review by

60's Ultimate Collection, Vol. 2 is more successful than the first volume at including a wider range of the popular music of the era. Of course, there is still no Beatles or Motown, but there is a little bit of soul (Deon Jackson with "Love Makes the World Go Around" and Barbara Lewis with her smash "Hello Stranger"), some girl group classics (the Angels' "My Boyfriend's Back" and Lesley Gore's "It's My Party") and a couple of rockers (Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs' "Wooly Bully" and Chuck Berry's "No Particular Place to Go"). Still, most of the songs are of a lightweight and ultra-poppy nature, perfect for the listener who wants to be transported back in time to the pleasant AM pop 1960s.
