AllMusic Review by

60's Flashback is 20 tracks of easygoing AM pop from the '60s with a dash of R&B and garage rock thrown in to liven things up. Most of the tracks are along the lines of Paul & Paula's "Hey Paula," Jewel Akens' "The Birds and the Bees," Kitty Lester's "Love Letters," and Gene Pitney's "24 Hours From Tulsa" -- sophisticated and light. The Isley Brothers' "Twist and Shout," Del Shannon's "Hats Off to Larry," Mel & Tim's "Backfield in Motion," and the Knickerbockers' "Lies" inject some life into the proceedings and help make the collection a decent buy for someone looking for a brief and fun (though nowhere near definitive) look at the pop sound of the '60s.
