Rebound's '50s Soul contains nine songs (eight on cassette), all of which were quite popular at the end of the '50s. It's a good mix of classic hits and excellent lesser-known singles, all of which adds up to a fun, worthwhile budget-line disc. Among the featured songs are the Platters' "Only You," James Brown's "Please, Please, Please," Dinah Washington's "What a Difference a Day Makes," the Diamonds' "The Stroll," the Platters' "Twilight Time," Al Austin's "Slow Walk," Tommy Edwards' "It's All in the Game," Brook Benton's "It's Just a Matter of Time" and Ivory Joe Hunter's "I Need You So."
