AllMusic Review by

As its name suggests, 30 Corridos Mas Prohibidos collects some of the most controversial corridos released recently, including Oro Norteno's "Corrido de Manuel González," Norteños de Ojinaga's "El Rico y el Judicial," Carlos y Jose's "La Dama de la Suburban," and los Capos del Mexico's "Mujeres Chingonas." Despite the somewhat provocative content of the songs, musically tracks like Luis y Julián's "Traicionaron a Mateo," Grupo Exterminador's "El Dedo," and los Originales de San Juan's "La Raza Michoacana" are deceptively sweet and playful, borrowing from the conjunto and norteño traditions that corrido music draws its sound from. Overall, 30 Corridos Mas Prohibidos is an interesting look at the state of contemporary corrido's political and cultural stances.
