AllMusic Review by

As the title indicates, this album commemorates Toquinho's 30 years of music. Covering some of his most successful and representative hits with several first division partners ("Tarde em Itapoã," "Como Dizia o Poeta," "Morena Flor," "Samba da Volta," "Regra Três," "O Velho e a Flor," "Carta ao Tom 74," "Cotidiano No. 2," and others, with Vinícius DeMoraes; "Samba de Orly," "Samba Pra Vinícius," and "Lua Cheia" with Chico Buarque; "Que Maravilha" with Jorge Benjor; "Na Boca da Noite" with Paulo Vanzolini), the album's sonority is carefully controlled to please his longtime fans. There is no excessive keyboarding, but there are delicate arrangements, violão, and discrete samba percussion/drumming in the forefront. There are also guest artists associated with the duo for decades, including DeMoraes, Buarque, Quarteto em Cy, and Gilberto Gil. If this album doesn't reach the magic emotional moments of those recorded by Toquinho/DeMoraes, it still represents wonderful, tender, inspired music with no virtuoso flies or abusive electronics.
