AllMusic Review by

This Minneapolis trio routs a basic grunge feel by getting a distinct post-punk roar that Killing Joke might favor in more vintage days, and an ultra-busy rhythm section attack. John Pucci's buzzing, gnashing guitar is part buzzsaw, part dentist drill, and the male/female (Dana Cochrane) talked/shouted/sung/opera-crooned vocals are deadpan one minute, then totally unhinged, silly, and/or disturbing the next. This fidgety, goopy-thick band has punch and wallop, though it's all a little too much at times (and do listeners really need disco lyrics thrown in?), but Cochrane's wandering, fast bass never fails to hold interest. Dig it or go running away screaming for your life. Either way it's interesting and sometimes weird.
