AllMusic Review by

While it would be impossible at 13 tracks to really present the best of 1950s rock & roll, this tight, succinct set definitely hits some high points, with classic sides from Jerry Lee Lewis ("Great Balls of Fire"), Chuck Berry (the immortal "Johnny B. Goode"), the Diamonds ("Little Darlin'"), and Brenda Lee (the completely infectious "Sweet Nothin's"), among others. There's no filler here, although, again, it's a mighty short set.
