On his second album for Strange Music, style-bending rapper Stevie Stone continues to pick and choose the choicest bits from America's regional scenes on 2 Birds, 1 Stone. Throughout tracks like "Grave Digga" and "She Go," Stone easily blends big Southern bass with East Coast austerity, creating a sound with a serious streak that will still rattle your trunk. By dabbling so freely in the styles of different scenes, Stone makes a sound for himself that feels strangely familiar yet is uniquely his own, giving his music a quality that is hard to pin down, but even harder to ignore.
