The lightning-fast percussive runs of the beloved Grupo Montez De Durango open 15 DURANGUENSES DE CORAZON, a collection of aching love songs from some of the foremost Norteno bands to grace the international pop charts during the early 21st century. Crisp two-steps are the order of the day here, as artists such as K-Paz De La Sierra and Los Tremendos De Mexico contribute irresistibly danceable songs (K-Paz's hit "Volvere" and Los Tremendos' "Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos"). Patrilla 81's "No Aprendi A Olvidar" moves swiftly along with keyboard accompaniment, while Conjunto Matador's "Fue En Un Café" conjures an appealing atmosphere of imminent romance. Not to be outdone, El Cugar Y Sus Dorados De Villa contribute their impassioned singing to the delightful "Chiquilla Bonita," and Isabela offers up a sultry vocal turn for the regretful "No Pude Enamorarme."
