By its very nature a studio band, 10cc Alive, recorded live in Tokyo in 1993, is at best a redundancy, at its worst an oxymoron. All the hits and essential album tracks are reprised -- from "Wall Street Shuffle" and "Art for Art's Sake" to "Things We Do for Love" and "Dreadlock Holiday" in note-perfect replication of the studio originals but with the poorer sound quality and separation endemic to live recording. Even the audience noise has been filtered out to enhance the disc's basic deadness.
